About Coach

Retired Professional Golfer & Certified CrossFit Trainer I began my athletic journey on the golf course, playing throughout high school and college, before taking the leap to professional golf after graduation. In 2018, to maintain my strength and conditioning, I started CrossFit. CrossFit hooked me immediately because it provided a competitive outlet off the golf course and pushed me to do hard things every time I stepped into the gym. The intensity, variety, and constant challenge gave me a new way to test my limits and grow stronger, both physically and mentally. After a year and a half, I got my level 1 and started coaching on the side. When the pandemic hit and golf tournaments were canceled, I realized that coaching CrossFit was more than just a side gig – it was a passion I wanted to turn into a full-time career. I embraced the shift and took on all the Zoom classes the gym I was at was offering. Since then, I’ve been fully dedicated to coaching CrossFit. My goal as a coach is to help athletes get better, not just physically but as people as well. Without CrossFit, I wouldn't be the person I am today, and I aim to help anyone who takes my class change their lives as well. Now a certified Level 3 CrossFit Trainer, I continue to learn and grow, with plans to take the Level 4 examination later this year.

Turning Point

My turning point was when I was shown CrossFit. Unlike golf, where sometimes pushing too hard could backfire and make you perform worse, CrossFit rewarded effort in a completely different way. The harder I tried, the better I got, and that immediate progress was exactly what I needed. Golf requires intense focus and practice, but there are moments when you can push too hard and actually see a decline in performance. CrossFit, on the other hand, gave me a healthy outlet to push myself as hard as I wanted, and the results came quickly, fueling my passion for the sport. It was the perfect balance of challenge and reward that I had been searching for.

Motivation & Passion

CrossFit changed my life. In college, I changed my major because I didn't want to give a presentation. Now I speak in front of people every day. In high school, I was someone who got D's in PE because I didn't try. Now I push myself physically almost every single day. And every time I push myself, I get better at doing hard things. Yes, I've gained fitness but I've gained a new life. My purpose and passion, is helping people find what I've found through CrossFit, while also having some fun and listening to Sabrina Carpenter along the way.
